E-bike rental FAQ

Florida has no statewide minimum age for e-bikes, but our rental policy is riders 16+ (local rules can be stricter). The person renting must be 18+ with a valid government photo ID. Riders 16–17 need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver. The bike fits riders roughly 5'1"–6'2" (manufacturer spec).

No. Florida law does not require a driver's license, registration, or insurance to ride an electric bicycle (F.S. 316.20655). We do need a government-issued photo ID from the renter to confirm identity.

Yes. Every rider signs a short digital waiver and rental agreement, which we text you before handoff. We place a refundable $200 card hold per bike, released after the bike comes back in good condition.

Yes – every rental includes a helmet and a lock at no extra charge. Florida law requires riders under 16 to wear a helmet; we strongly recommend helmets for everyone.

At Juno Beach Pier (14776 U.S. Highway 1, Juno Beach, FL 33408). We meet you at the Juno Beach Park lot at the pier entrance (we'll text the exact spot). For Half Day rentals and longer, we can deliver free within 5 miles of the pier instead.

Free delivery and pickup within a 5-mile radius (straight-line) of Juno Beach Pier: all of Juno Beach, much of Jupiter (including Carlin Park, Abacoa, Harbourside Place and the Jupiter Inlet area), northeastern Palm Beach Gardens (Gardens Mall area), northern North Palm Beach, and the southern edge of Tequesta – text us your address and we'll confirm.

Actbest rates the Mars Plus at up to 85 miles in pedal-assist under ideal conditions. Real-world range is lower with throttle use, wind, heat and heavier riders – but every bike goes out fully charged, which is far more than a full day of local riding. Multi-day rentals include a charger.

The manufacturer lists a top speed of 32+ mph. Our rental bikes are set to a maximum assisted speed of 20 mph to keep rides relaxed and safe. You pedal with assist, or use the throttle for an easy start.

Yes: 300 lb per rider for our rentals. (Actbest lists the bike's total payload at 400–440 lb including cargo, but we keep a margin for safety and comfort.)

E-bikes have the same rights and duties as bicycles on Florida roads, so you can ride on A1A and US-1 – stay right, ride single file, and use bike lanes where marked. On sidewalks you must yield to pedestrians and give an audible signal before passing; some towns restrict e-bikes on sidewalks and in parks (for example, the Town of Jupiter limits e-bikes in town parks to park roadways). Our rule: no riding on beach sand, dunes, dune walkovers, or the pier – walk the bike instead.

South Florida storms usually pass quickly. If there is lightning, a tropical storm or hurricane watch/warning, or a severe weather warning at your start time, we'll reschedule for free or give you a full refund. Light rain alone isn't a cancellation reason, but we'll always work with you.

Cancel or reschedule free up to 24 hours before your start time. Cancellations within 24 hours are charged 50% of the rental; no-shows are charged in full. Weather cancellations are always free (see above).

We allow a 15-minute grace period, then charge $15 per 30 minutes. Running late? Text us – if the bike isn't booked after you, we can usually extend.

Text or call us right away. Within our delivery area we'll swap the bike or fix it on the spot. Don't keep riding a bike that feels unsafe.

Yes – choose up to 6 bikes in the booking form, or pick "7+" and we'll text you a group quote. Groups, families and vacation-rental guests are welcome.

When we confirm your booking by text, we send a secure payment link (card, Apple Pay or Google Pay). Prices are per bike, before applicable Florida sales tax.
